Soloman

First day orientation. Get a feel for the people that you'll be working with. There are your goofballs, your know it alls, your teachers pets, and the ones who just want to get paid. Its kind of like school again. Except that people are meaner, nastier, more hateful to the world or are still so blind to the reality of how life really is. You know, Cheerleaders. I thought I got away from all of that years ago. Well here I am again with the type of people I don't want to be with. But this time I'm going to be paid to deal with these people around me while helping people hook up DVDs or something. Well it was the first day. You cant judge a blah through the blah blah but first impressions last. I dont know. Ill take whatever comes because Ive got my own place at the city and a job. A job that an undergraduate slacker like me had a semi easy time getting into. Wow. I am that special?

So I finally met Anna the ragdoll. The original ragdoll before everybody else started ripping her off or whatever. Shes ok. Kinda looks like the ex girlfriend of a guy I know. Even sounds like her sometimes. But she looks excatly what I imagined she would look like in person. Even super friendly. Its cool how we met. I was on the bus to get my medical at SM north and I texted her that I have work. Turns out she works at the same place at the same account at the same wave as I do. I got to swing her around like a little doll when we finally, after 3 years of knowing each other online, met. Same as Ron. looks like Ill be meeting alot of online people now.

Speaking of which, I met this guy from Bacolod who knows this girl from that place. Small internet world I guess. Hes cool. Into the whole christian metalcore scene and he makes bacolod sound like such an intresting place. Makes me want to visit there someday. Maybe when after a few months ill go check it out over there.

I just want to mention that the week before i got the job was pretty sad for me since GFW radio pulled the plug. Ziff Davis lost two very talented writers, Jeff Green and Shawn Elliot. Very sad indeed. I really really really enjoy listening to the brodeo. Most of the time I put the podcast on before I sleep and it just goes on and on on repeat. So theres one weird bedroom habit of mine. The other is that I must have 4 pillows when I sleep. There the secrets out.

This will be my first weekend in the city after quite a number of years. Ill be seeing my friends band play tommorrow at Nightwish and Ill be drinking at my new apartment. Hopefully all goes well and Ill have fun.

Time to sleep.
